Creating a Strong Password

  1. Use at least 14 characters — longer passwords are harder to guess or brute force.

  2. Use a passphrase that’s easy for you to remember but hard for others (or bots) to guess. A strong passphrase can be a memorable but random sentence, sometimes incorporating uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

  3. Make it unique. Don’t reuse this password on other sites — especially important ones like email, banking, or social media.

  4. Consider using a password manager. These tools can generate and store long, complex, unique passwords for every service, so you don’t have to memorize them all.

What to Avoid:

  • Common passwords like "password123456" or "qwerty123456"

  • Personal information (birthdays, names, addresses)

  • Dictionary words or simple patterns

Eventive has rejected my password, what can I do?

To confirm that you’ve selected a strong password, our systems check your selection against a global database containing over 900 million real-world passwords that have been compromised in past breaches across the internet. Checking against this list helps ensure you're not using an insecure password.

If Eventive has rejected your password, you’ll be presented with the following error at login, or when trying to reset your password:

“Your current password does not meet our security requirements. For your security, we have sent you an email with instructions to reset your password.”

Create a new password / passphrase using the guidelines above to create a secure login. Once you’ve created a password that meets our security requirements , the error message will go away.
