After the printer driver is installed and you have printed a test page, try printing a ticket.
Go to the box office and issue yourself a ticket to print. Alternatively, you can locate any ticket on a customer account and click “Download” to the top right of the ticket table on the customer account to print the ticket.
In the print preview screen click the printer shaped “Print” icon in the top right corner of the screen to print the ticket.
In the print dialog, be sure that the Epson TM-T20iii printer is selected as the destination and choose the closest available paper size.
Click “Print”.
In all likelihood, your first ticket will be long and there is a chance that the paper cutter may not cut following the test print.
Adjusting Settings
NOTE: The following steps are the same for both Epson TM-T20iii and Epson TM-T20ii printers.
Configuring the Paper Cutter
If the paper cutter didn’t cut, open your System “Settings” > “Bluetooth & devices” > “Printers & scanners”.
Then click on Epson TM-T20III Receipt followed by “Printing preferences”
In the Printing preferences dialog box, make sure that “Document[Feed, Cut]” is selected in the “Feed and Cut” tab. Also make sure that “Feed to cut position" and “Cutting method: Cut” are configured correctly. This will make sure that the cutter will cut in between each ticket.
NOTE: These instructions are for a computer running on Windows 11. Instructions for earlier versions of Windows may vary slightly.
Configuring the Paper Size
If your test ticket was too long, you’ll need to create a user defined paper.
Open your System “Settings” > “Bluetooth & devices” > “Printers & scanners”.
Then click on Epson TM-T20III Receipt followed by “Printing preferences”
In the Printing preferences dialog box, click the “Advanced Settings” tab followed by the “Advanced Settings” button to open the APD Utility to access the Advanced Settings.
In the ADP Utility, click on “User Defined Paper” in the menu on the left side of the app. In the “Add User Defined Paper” fields at the bottom of the right side of the app, fill in your desired paper dimensions, you might start by trying 2.5” x 6” to start. Click “Register” to save the paper configuration. Once you’ve clicked “Register” the new paper size will show up in the paper list above and the paper is ready to be used.
Return to the Eventive dashboard to print a new test ticket. You can use the same ticket that you used for the earlier test print. In the print preview dialog box, select your user defined paper size from the paper size drop down menu. Print a ticket to see if the new paper settings work for you. If you still feel that the paper size is a bit large and you would like to further adjust the paper dimensions, return to the ADP Utility and create another user defined paper. Repeat until you reach the desired print output.
NOTE: These instructions are for a computer running on Windows 11. Instructions for earlier versions of Windows may vary slightly.
Once you have connected the printer to your computer and applied any desired settings, you will be ready to print tickets!
