Instant Tickets give passholders the option to either reserve tickets online in advance or allow them to walk up to the door and get scanned in with no reservation required.

Instant Tickets are automatically generated when scanning passes with the Eventive Scanner when the the requirement for Advance Reservations is disabled on either the Event Bucket, Physical Event or Pass Bucket.

Disabling Advance Reservations on an Event Bucket

On the Event Bucket, Advance Reservations is disabled when "By default, require passholders to reserve tickets" is unchecked in your Event Bucket's "Additional Settings" section. This enables Instant Tickets for the entire event bucket.

Disabling Advance Reservations on a Physical Event

For a specific Physical Event, Advance Reservations is disabled when "Do not require advance reservation" under "Passholder Tickets" is enabled for the specific event. This allows you to selectively use Instant Tickets on a per-event basis.

Disabling Advance Reservations on a Pass Bucket

For a specific Pass Bucket, Advance Reservations is disabled when “Use default event bucket setting” is unchecked and “Do not require advance reservation; allow passholder walk-ups” is selected in the pass bucket "General" settings tab under "Advance Reservations".

Pass Rules

For an instant ticket to be issued, the pass being scanned, must have a valid pass rule that applies to the event.

Troubleshooting

An Instant ticket will not be issued if;

The pass rule for entry has been used up: If a pass rule restricts the passholder to one ticket to the event and the customer has already reserved a ticket, scanning this pass will mark the existing ticket as scanned, an instant ticket will not be issued.

The pass rule does not apply to the event: If a pass is scanned that doesn't apply to the current event, an error will be displayed and an instant ticket will not be issued.

Instant tickets are not configured either for the event bucket, event or pass bucket: If the settings are not configured as above for either the event bucket, event or pass bucket, an error will be displayed on the scanner and an instant ticket will not be issued. If instant tickets are required, please check the event bucket, event and / or pass settings to ensure that they are configured correctly as per your specific event and passholder needs.
