BETA Opportunity Available: Multi-currency Sales for Virtual Screenings

If you are interested in offering multiple currency options for your virtual screenings, please reach out to Eventive Support using the blue chat icon in the bottom right corner of your Eventive Dashboard.

Using the Multi-currency Sales feature, you will be able to configure different price options in the following currencies:

  • USD

  • CAD

  • GBP

  • MXN

  • ISK

  • ILS

  • EUR

  • KRW

  • NZD

  • BAM

  • AUD

  • SEK

  • CLP

  • NOK

  • ZAR

  • PHP

  • AED

  • QAR

  • DKK

  • IDR

  • INR

  • HKD

  • ARS

  • CHF

  • THB

  • JPY

  • NGN

  • BRL

When your customers visit your screening pages, based on their browser settings they will be presented with an appropriate currency options based on the prices that you configure. The customer can toggle between the available options to select the currency they would prefer to pay in. Your dashboard and your reporting will still be set in a single currency, your default dashboard currency.

EXAMPLE: If your default currency is USD and you configure a CAD option using the multi-currency feature, your American Audience members will be presented the price in USD and Canadian audience members will be presented with a price in CAD. If you only have USD and CAD options configured, audience members outside of the US and Canada will be presented with the price in USD.

When using the multi-currency feature, you will set the price for the your alternate currency options, they are not floating prices based on current exchange rates. When setting these options, you are not bound by exchange rates and can set any price you choose.

EXAMPLE: If your dashboard currency is set to USD and your virtual admission price is set to USD, though the Canadian dollar is frequently worth $0.725 US or thereabouts, you are not forced to set your Canadian pricing option to $13.79 CAD. You may choose to set it at $14 or $13 or any other price that you feel is appropriate.

The multi-currency feature supports the use of variants. If you have a general admission price and a senior price you would create both options for all of your currency options. Then when the browser detects the customer's browser location, it will present all corresponding options when the customer clicks "Unlock" to purchase the screening.
