It's easy to add your virtual event to Eventive TV Apps and the Eventive Discovery Portal, also known as watch.eventive.org!

Promoting your content in the Discovery Portal

To add your virtual event to Eventive TV Apps and the Discovery Portal, click "Open Eventive Virtual Settings" on your Event Bucket Settings page.

Next, select "Yes, promote in Public Directory" in the window that appears.

Channel Discovery Settings

After selecting the "Yes, promote" box, an array of other settings will appear! Here's what each setting means:

Channel Title: The default text that appears is your event bucket name. You can leave it as is, or change the channel title. The title listed here will be displayed on watch.eventive.org, so we suggest you make it as clear as possible for potential audience members -- ie. Awesome Film Festival 2021 or Wolverine Theater Screening Series.

Channel Type: Add one channel type that best fits the category of your virtual event. You can choose between: Film Festival / Screening Series, Single Film Release, Arthouse / Virtual Cinema, Special Event, or Repertory Catalog.

Channel Feature Graphic: You must add a graphic here in order for your event/channel to be added to the Discovery Portal. Recommended size: 1920 x 1080p. You can also add gifs as your graphic image!

Channel Tags: Add up to five tags to categorize your virtual channel and help potential audience members find your event based on interests. See full list of available tags below.

Channel Short Description: Write a short (up to 300 characters) description about your virtual channel, which will be shown in the Discovery Portal, Eventive TV Apps, social media, and more.

Channel Promotion Geography: If your channel should only be promoted to particular geographic regions, indicate so here by selecting "Channel is geographically focused." This is relevant for organizations using geographic restrictions on any of their virtual screenings.

Channel Availability Dates: If your channel is only available during a particular time window, indicate so here by selecting "Channel is date-restricted." This is relevant for organizations with availability windows on any of their virtual screenings.

Click Save Changes!

Now your virtual channel will be listed on all Eventive TV Apps and the Eventive Discovery Portal at watch.eventive.org!

The Audience Experience

Audience members can use the universal search bar to search for specific films, local theaters, film festivals, events, and more.

Your virtual event will appear in a Display Section that corresponds with the Channel Type you selected.

Channels with high recent audience engagement will automatically be added our "Hot channels" or "Hot screenings" Display Sections. Check back frequently as this section automatically updates every few hours!

Eventive Films on JustWatch and Letterboxd

Films streaming on Eventive can now be found on Letterboxd and JustWatch!

This is a great opportunity to help audiences find your eclectic programming, sometimes long before the films hit VOD platforms. If a film in your program is included in the Letterboxd database, an Eventive button that links to your virtual screening page will appear under "Where to Watch" or "Watch Now."

For distributors, this is a great way for audiences to find your titles screening with Eventive festival and cinema partners before you launch VOD on other platforms.

Add Eventive to your list of preferred services if you're a Pro or Patron Letterboxd member, making it super easy to find everything screening on Eventive!

We highly suggest taking these two steps to ensure that audiences can find your programming via Letterboxd and JustWatch:

  1. Ensure that your event buckets are publicly promoted in our Discovery Portal, by following the steps at the top of this article.

  2. Let your audiences know that if they’re a Pro or Patron Letterboxd member, they can add Eventive to their list of preferred streaming services!
