To create an Eventive livestream, start with one of our supported livestream encoder sources that is able to stream to an RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) link provided by Eventive.ย

Compatible livestream sources

  • Zoom (Zoom Pro account level or above)

  • Streamyard (requires subscription to use custom RTMP destinations)

  • Microsoft Teams (requires subscription to use custom RTMP destinations)

  • Elemental Live (version 2.14.15 and higher)

  • Switcher Studio (iOS)

  • Telestream Wirecast (version 13.0.2 or higher due to the TLS 1.2 requirement)

  • Telestream Wirecast S (only RTMP is supported)

  • GoPro Hero 7+

NOTE: In theory any device that is capable of using a custom RTMP link and outputting the supported input streaming formats , video codecs and audio codecs may be compatible with the livestreaming encoder. However in certain cases, we have seen vendors and suppliers implementing the standards in a non-conventional manner, which may not be supportable. We recommend testing livestreams with your selected livestream source a few days in advance of your live events to ensure that all components are working together harmoniously.

Next: Create your livestream event

The process for creating a livestream event is always the same, regardless of the content source!

Create a new virtual screening, and under screening type, select either "Livestream" for a standalone livestream screening, or "VOD + Live" to create a screening that consists of both video content and a livestream.

Follow the directions in this help article to set up your livestream event, decide which of the 3 livestream modes you'll use, then read our thorough how to livestream guide.
