The Membership Module

  • Allows you to see your memberships separately from your passes in the Eventive dashboard

  • Creates a membership sales page on your Eventive Native Site which is separate from the pass sales page

  • Comes with a separate set of analytics that allows you track membership sales and redemption trends separate from your pass sales and pass redemptions.

Enabling the Membership Module

Begin by choosing which of your event buckets you would like to sell memberships from. Typically it is best to sell memberships in one event bucket that is evergreen and will always be used - for most organizers, this will be the event bucket that you use for your year-round programming.

NOTE: If you don’t currently offer year round programming and all of your event buckets are single use event buckets that will be archived after the current cycle of your event is over, consider creating a separate event bucket just for memberships that will always remain active for the purpose of selling memberships.

In your event bucket settings, under the “Site features” heading, check “Membership module enabled” and then click the “Save changes” button.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that you host memberships in only one event bucket that is evergreen and will always be used - for most organizers, this will be the event bucket that you use for your year-round programming. Some organizers may choose to host memberships in an event bucket that is dedicated to memberships and is not used for any programming.

If the event bucket that you have selected to sell your memberships, does not need to sell passes uncheck "Pass sales page & "My Passes" publicly visible" after enabling the Membership Module. Unchecking this setting suppresses the pass sales page and the My Passes section of the customer profile on the native site.

Once the Membership Module is enabled, memberships will appear in your Event Bucket Overview and the left hand sidebar beneath where Pass buckets are listed.

Clicking “Memberships” will take you to the list of membership buckets. From this page you will be able to create new memberships.

Transferring existing memberships to the Membership Module

If you have previously created memberships as recurring passes using a pass bucket, please go to the “General” settings tab for the pass bucket that you would like to migrate and scroll down to the “Advanced” settings. Under the advanced settings, click the “Migrate pass bucket to membership” button to move the membership from its current location to the “Memberships” section of the event bucket.

NOTE: The “Migrate pass bucket to membership” button will only be active if recurrence is enabled for the pass.

NOTE: The Membership Module doesn't support a fixed renewal date for memberships. If you need to sell a recurring pass with a fixed renewal date, please keep them as pass buckets. Migrating a recurring pass with a fixed renewal date tot he Membership Module will make the current fixed renewal date the renewal date for all existing memberships, but going forward with new membership sales, the renewal date will be based off the date of purchase and your renewal increment (year, month, etc.).

Creating a Membership

Learn how to create a membership using the Membership Module.

NOTE: When creating a membership in the Membership Module, recurrence is on by default. If you are looking to create a membership-type product that doesn’t use recurrence, that would need to be created as a pass alongside the other Pass buckets, not a membership in the Membership Module.

Memberships in the Configurator - the Membership Tab

When the Membership Module is enabled, a new “Memberships” tab will appear in the configurator where you can set up your Membership sales page.

Membership Analytics

To analyze your membership sales and trends separately from your passes a series of membership specific analytics has been created:

  • Membership Sales Analytics shows total sales of all your memberships by channel, free vs. paid and a high-pass overview of ticket redemptions and average redemptions per membership for each membership bucket.

  • Membership Ticket Analytics is an in depth breakdown of membership redemption patterns and shows how many of which membership types have been redeemed for tickets to each of your events.

  • Membership Status Analytics is the membership equivalent of Recurring Pass Analytics and shows active memberships, upcoming renewals, expiries and failed renewals.
