Create an Event Bucket

  1.  Navigate to your Eventive Dashboard

  2. Click Create new next to the Event Buckets heading on the left side menu

General Details

  • Name: Give your event bucket a name! It should be the name of the main event - ie. Awesome Film Festival 2021.

  • Subdomain: Create the URL to access your Eventive Native site. We recommend making this something recognizable to your audience - ie. awesomefilmfestival

  • Timezone: Timezone of the event. Defaults to your current timezone.

Site Features

  • Event bucket mode: Click “Change mode” if you wish to change your Event Bucket mode from Default (sell both passes & standalone tickets) to Pass Only, Standalone Tickets Only, Box Office Only, All Sales Disabled, or Archived.

  • Native schedule publicly visible: Unselect this if you'd like to hide the event bucket's Schedule page.

  • Native film guide publicly visible: Unselect this if you'd like to hide the event bucket’s Film Guide page.

  • Standalone tickets on sale to public: Unselect this if you'd like to turn off access to standalone tickets - for example, if you wish to allow only passholders to reserve tickets for a period of time.

  • Accept donations on site: Select this to add a Donation page to your Eventive Native site. Learn more about accepting donations.

Eventive Virtual Settings

Access the Eventive Discovery Portal, Unlock/Watch window, Display Section order, and Pre-Roll & Post-Roll settings by clicking the Eventive Virtual Settings button.

Configurator

Use the Configurator to customize nearly every element of your Eventive Site and Virtual Catalog pages. Learn more about the Eventive Configurator.

Fee & Tax Settings

Open Fee & Tax settings to customize settings relating to transaction fees, virtual fees, sales tax, and more.

NOTE: Eventive cannot advise on any customer’s tax questions. Please contact your tax adviser for more information.

Standard Festival Fees

Standard Festival fees apply to pass sales and physical event tickets. You have three options:

  • Pass Fees Onto Customer (pass purchaser pays 100% of credit card fees)

  • Absorb Fees (your organization pays 100% of fees)

  • Split Fees (you'll choose the percentage you absorb/they pay)

There are certain restrictions you can place on those passed fees including absorbing specific fees OR capping the fees your customers pay.

NOTE: Standard Festival fees only apply to online orders of pass sales & physical event tickets. If you are selling passes or tickets to physical events using the Box Office, these fees will not apply. To pass fees on during these transactions, use the optional Box Office fee.

Virtual Festival Fees

DRM unlock fees are charged on all virtual screenings that include ingested content and do not apply to anything except ticket orders.

If a ticket is PAID, this fee is collected at the point of sale.

If a ticket is a passholder reservation or otherwise complimentary/unpaid, this fee is reported as a deferred fee (since there was no paid transaction to collect on) and will show up on a monthly invoice.

To help offset the fact that standalone virtual tickets incur both the Transaction Fee and the DRM Unlock Fee, you can add a flat fee to virtual ticket unlocks here.

You can also add Sales Tax or select Report GST/VAT in the Fee & Tax Settings section.

Read more about Fees here.

Embed in your website

Learn more about embedding elements of your Eventive Native site using the Embed Wizard and Eventive Everywhere.

Open Additional Settings

Configure Pass settings by clicking the Open Additional Settings button.

These options only apply to event buckets in either Default or Pass Only mode:

  • Require passholders to reserve tickets: This sets the default for the "passholder tickets" setting for events. Learn more about passholder reservation options.

  • Email ticket order confirmations to passholders: If disabled, tickets will only accessible online.

  • Enable one-click passholder ticket orders: Use this if you're looking for simple, frictionless "build your schedule" sort of functionality. We highly recommend enabling passholder ticket cancellation if you go this route, in case of accidental clicks.

  • Allow pass transfers: See Allow passholders to transfer passes

You can also Lock Standalone Tickets, configure Rush Line and Box Office settings, and enable a Custom Domain in the Additional Settings section.
